Summary: WW Industries, an ASME pressure vessel and structural fabrication company (a division of Deepsea Technologies Inc.) is seeking an estimater for its Northwest Houston location. This position is responsible for preparing cost estimates for pressure vessels, piping and structural fabrication projects in the onshore and offshore oil & gas, pipeline, refinery, petrochemical and allied industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review project documentation and specifications to get an understanding of the scope of work.

Review and interpret fabrication manufacturing drawings and P&IDs.

Prepare cost estimates utilizing standard costs, past manufacturing history, engineering specifications, labor hours and rates, material costs, and other relevant data.

Prepare estimates for projects including price, delivery, and supporting documents.

Implement and continually improve quantity take off and estimating standards.

Prepare material take offs and input into estimating spreadsheets / estimating software.

Be familiar with coating processes.

Work as a team with purchasing for pricing of materials and services.

Maintain project records to include open bids, lost bids, bids awarded.

Attend departmental meetings as required.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent;

3 – 5 years of relative experience in estimating pressure vessels, structural skids and piping required;

Experience building relationships with customers and team members required;

Experience working with welding industry standards such as AWS, ASME, ABS, NACE, API, ISO, and ASTM;

Experience working with Compress Software preferred;

Currently eligible to work in the United States.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Successful track record providing profitable cost estimates for pressure vessel, piping and structural fabrication fabrication activities;

Must have proficient computer skills(Excel, Word, MS Project, etc.);

Excellent communication skills and ability to work on multifunction teams;

Excellent organizational skills with ability to compile and process data;

Ability to balance customer demands against company constraints;

Impeccable reputation and high ethical standards;

Self motivated and willing to take initiative with limited direction.

Knowledge and understanding of FCPA requirements is desirable

Location and Work Environment:
This position is located in Houston – Texas – USA;

Travel to manufacturing facilities, client offices, and other locations as needed to support projects and interface with customers, and other third party stakeholders.
