With 4 offices in the Houston area and 4 additional offices across Texas our Business Services team stays busy. To support all of our offices we are actively recruiting for a Business Services Manager. The Business Services Manager is a multi-faceted position with ownership of several areas each critical to successful operations. This individual will lead the Facilities team maintaining and improving multiple locations where our engineers and corporate functions do great work for our clients. The Shared Services and Office Administration also falls under the Business Services Manager. And, this position will lead efforts to develop processes, implement best practices and provide oversight to Fleet, Purchasing and Contracts. In this dynamic position the Business Services Manager will have the autonomy to lead change and implement new initiatives. The goal is continuous improvement in all of these areas while leveraging the talent, resources, processes and operations already in place. The ideal candidate will be very hands-on and have experience managing facilities and real estate services. They will also have experience in purchasing and procurement in a corporate environment.               • For over 40 years, Jones|Carter has assisted our clients in a variety of projects including water and wastewater treatment plants, storm drainage, transportation, planning, construction management, and surveying. We’re a big company that acts like a small boutique firm.

                • Facilities: management across 8 Texas offices with plans for more.
                  • Maintains landlord relationships, negotiations and correspondence
                  • Manages office moves, renovations, build-outs, etc…
                  • Manages and schedules routine custodial maintenance
                  • Manages service requests, inventory and record keeping
                • Purchasing: planning, submitting, tracking and reporting for goods and services
                  • Implement new purchasing policies and processes for cost saving and efficiency
                  • Evaluate current spending patterns and measure cost improvements
                  • Identify and implement best practices.
                • Fleet: management of all vehicle related programs, processes and policies
                  • Reviewing and updating all fleet management policies including fleet safety
                  • Managing programs to include insurance, maintenance, leasing, purchasing, fuel, inspections, repairs, procurement, disposal, allocation, utilization, etc...
                • Contracts / Document Management
                  • Provide administrative support for contract development, review and execution
                  • Establish contract tracking and management processes
                  • Implement document management and retention programs
                  • Assist in creating standards to optimize contract negotiation, renewals and invoicing
                  • Leverage technology to support contracts and document management
                • Administrative and Front Office
                  • Lead and manage front office staff to support business operations
                  • Establish standards for great efficiency and outstanding customer service
                  • Develop front office staff to exceed expectations and assume increasing responsibilities
                • Bachelor’s degree in business, business management or related field
                • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a manager in a corporate environment with responsibilities for multiple locations, facilities services, purchasing and general business operations support.
                • Experience managing multiple internal clients through changes and implementations of new policies and procedures
                • Ability to travel in Texas up to 20%.
                • Strong self-motivation to drive continuous improvements as both a leader and contributor.
